| Good breast health is
important, it is vital and it starts from within.
Your body puts out what you put into it, so begin with a healthy
diet and plenty of water! A diet rich in wholesome
nutrients and essential H2O are the key building blocks of a
healthy body.
If you are not aware of what
you're putting into your body, why not keep a food diary.
A food diary is the best way to determine what you are fueling
your machine with. Grab a pen and paper and jot down each
meal, each snack and every glass of water and other beverage you
consume. Don't stop there, write down how you feel that
day and the activities you participated in, from walking to
playing team sports. How you treat your body will
determine how it will treat you in the long run. |

A diet rich in leafy greens, lean proteins
such as fish, chicken and unsalted nuts, as well as fibrous, whole
grains will set you on the right track to taking charge of your body and
your life.
Just as important as what you put into
your body, is what you don't put into your body. Smoking,
alcohol and non-essential, or recreational drugs are poor choices for
good breast health. Not to mention a diet high in caffeine can
contribute to calcifications in the breast tissue. Sodas, coffee,
and tea are all sources of caffeine which can affect those who are
already susceptible to calcium deposits in the breasts. Caffeine also
increases cortisol levels.
Exercise, in sensible amounts, can also
assist in good breast health by maintaining good vascularity, a healthy
body fat percentage and help assist in keeping cortisol levels low due
to endorphin release. Although cortisol amounts do rise during
exercise, endorphins do offset their release and regular, non-stressful
exercise such as aerobics, walking and light weight training has proven
very healthful.
Sleep! Sleep is just as important
as diet and water consumption. If you don't get enough sleep, your
body becomes run down, your immune system weakens, cortisol levels
increase and your whole body will eventually shut down.
